Jigra Box Office Collection: Alia Bhatt’s recently released action-thriller ‘Jigra’ has shown some improvement on its second day in the box office. The film, released on October 11, 2024, received mixed reviews from the audience and failed to create a lasting impression on the viewers. The movie didn’t even managed to cross Rs 5 Cr on its opening day, becoming Alia Bhatt’s lowest opener since 2014. Although the movie plot seems to be fresh, Alia’s performance definitely stands out, as this is her first action-packed performance in Bollywood.
While the trailer heightened the excitement of fans, Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s film failed to meet the expectations. The film had a decent start, grossing Rs 4.55 Cr on day one. However, the movie’s collection increased on day two, earning Rs 6.50 Cr and bringing its total to Rs 11.05 Cr, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Jigra's Hindi occupancy rate has been 30.10 percent, with over 2800 shows across the country. Chennai had the highest occupancy of 79.50% with 28 shows, followed by Bengaluru with 196 shows and an occupancy of 60.25%. Hyderabad had 44% occupancy, followed by Pune with 43.75% occupancy.

While the movie is still managing to earn bits and pieces, actress Divya Khosla Kumar recently accused Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar of manipulating the box office collection. The ‘Yaariyan 2’ actress has shared a story on her social media, accusing the team of purchasing tickets and acquiring paid reviews in order to manipulate box office collections. Talking about the movie, Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala, and co-produced by Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, Apoorva Mehta and Karan Johar under Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions.
