Kalyani Saha Early Life
Growing up in Kolkata, Kalyani developed an early interest in decorations and intricate designs, as her mother used to export children’s garments and make beautiful frocks, lacy socks, and ballerinas for her and her sisters. Kalyani is Alaknanda Saha’s daughter and Reba Rani Saha’s granddaughter. Before venturing into luxury home decor, Kalyani Saha was the Vice President of Dior’s marketing and communications operations in India.
Kalyani Saha Career Growth
Kalyani began her career as a marketing representative and correspondent for the national daily newspaper, the Indian Express. She oversaw the publisher’s four magazines after graduating from university with a Bachelor of Commerce. After starting a leather crafting business and boutique in Calcutta, Kalyani relocated to Delhi in the late 1990s and established her own leather goods exporting company. She received orders from luxury fashion brands Jimmy Choo, Zara, and Harrods.
The business continued for over fourteen years, during which time she met Regis Rimbert, former general manager of LVMH in West Asia and India, who later gave Kalyani a breakthrough as she was named Dior’s brand ambassador in 2006. Dior later appointed Kalyani as Vice President of the fashion house’s marketing and communications operations in India. She oversaw Dior’s market positioning, public relations activities, and product placements with prominent Indian celebrities. In 2016, she and Tina Antoniades launched Lulu and Sky, an e-commerce fashion brand. She later founded Rezon Luxury Silverware, a silver luxury home decor and gifting company based in New Delhi.
Kalyani Saha Marriage
In Delhi, Kalyani married Vishal Chwala but later got separated. Kalyani and Vishal have a daughter named Tahira Tara Chawla. There is not much information about Kalyani’s personal life and about her husband.
