The Army will deploy the Indian-made Kalyani M4 bulletproof and explosion-proof trucks for troop transport.

Bharat Forge Limited today dispatched a total of 16 units of Kalyani M4 vehicles made in India to the Indian Army for the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission. The Kalyani M4 armored military carrier developed by Bharat Forge is the latest deployment in the Indian Army. The Kalyani M-4 is a state-of-the-art Armored Personnel Vehicle designed to protect the personnel inside it from high risks including landmine blasts and grenade attacks.

The Kalyani M4 APC has a curb weight of 16,000 kg, a maximum payload of 2,300 kg, and a top speed of 140 km/h. The Kalyani M4 Armored Personnel Carrier was deployed by the Indian Army as part of an emergency procurement for deployment in Ladakh following the Indian-Chinese clash in the Galway Valley.
