The company has introduced the Kia Carens in the Indian market. The Carens is the fourth new launch from Kia and it is called the RV where it is a combination of an MPV and an SUV. Kia has launched the Cars with five trim levels namely Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus.
It is offered in 7 colours: Aurora Black Pearl, Imperial Blue, Gravity Grey, Moss Brown, Intense Red, Sparkling Silver and Glacier White Pearl. Let’s take a look at its specifications
The top-end variant gets ventilated seats, digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen, rear view camera, touch climate control, an air purifier, wireless charging, AC vents for all lines, electric one touch tumble down for the second row, a Features like standard sunroof, cooled cup holder, retractable sunshade, retractable table for second row, 6 airbags standard, Bose audio system etc. have been provided.
Kia Carens get a Tiger Face design at the front which strikingly highlights the intake grille with split LED headlamps with Dual-beam LED projector headlights with daytime running lights (DRLs) which all together give a strong and impressive look. The SUV-like side profile takes a muscular stance and further underlines the strong yet refined style of the vehicle.
The engine option is the first 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates power of 115hp and comes mated to a 6-speed manual. This is followed by 1.4 litre turbo petrol which generates 140hp power and 242Nm torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. There is also a 1.5-litre diesel engine with the Carence that generates 115hp power and 250Nm torque. It comes with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Talking about mileage, the company claims that it gives mileage of up to 21.3 kmpl in one litre of diesel.
According to the company, the Carense has been offered in 19 variants with prices ranging from Rs 8.99 lakh to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
