Kia Motor India is all set to launch its all new and first electric car in India named EV6 on 2nd June 2022. The company has started taking bookings for this car in India and those interested can book this car at 15 select dealerships across 12 cities across the country. This new electric car can also be booked from the company's official website.
The interiors of the model come equipped with two large displays, of which one unit features the fully -digital instrument console, while the second unit is a curved display for the infotainment system. A few other notable features include a new two-spoke, multi-function steering wheel, touch controls for the AC vents, a rotary dial for the transmission, and a centre console-mounted engine start-stop button.
The EV is powered by a 77.4 kW-r battery pack that powers all the four wheels and produces 321 bhp and 605 Nm of peak torque, while the less powerful 58 kW-r battery pack also gets the Kia EV6. Makes 170 Bhp of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The most interesting thing is that with the help of a fast charger, the car battery gets charged up to 10-80 percent in just 18 minutes. The more powerful battery has a range of up to 528 KM and the less powerful battery gives mileage up to 400 KM in a single charge.
The Kia EV6 also gets several safety features like Driving Assistance, Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist along with Multiple Airbags, ESC, VSM.
BMW (BMW) on Thursday launched its electric car BMW i4 Electric (BMW i4) in India. The BMW i4 Electric Car is a 4-door coupe car. In the Indian market, it will be made available as a rear-wheel-drive car. According to the report, the higher-spec version of this car, the i4 M50 xDrive, can be launched in India at a later stage.
Inside, the BMW i4 receives three drive modes (Comfort, EcoPro, and Sport), ambient lighting, sport seats for the driver and co-passenger, three-zone climate control, an electric sunroof, three-spoke steering wheel, 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, 14.9-inch curved display infotainment system, Harman Kardon-sourced surround sound music system, park assistant, wireless charging, and an engine start-stop button. Interior upholstery options include beige and black and cognac and black.
According to the details listed on the company's official website, the new eDrive40 version has an 83.9kWh battery pack. This powers the electric motor that powers the rear wheels of the car. This electric motor generates maximum power of 335bhp and peak torque of 430Nm. With the help of this motor, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. According to the company, this battery pack can give a range of 590 km on a single cycle (WLTP certified) in one full charge.
BMW i4 the all-electric sedan has been priced at Rs 69.9 lakh (introductory prices ex-showroom) whereas, KIA EV6 is expected to launch in July or August this year and could be priced in the range of Rs 55 lakh to Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).
