UPTET Exam 2022: The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) is going to conduct the UPTET 2021-22 exam on January 23, 2022. The admit cards were issued on January 12, 2022, on the official website updeled.gov.in. All registered candidates can download their admit cards from the official website.
The exam will be held in offline mode on OMR Sheets, at selected centres across the state. It will consist of two papers – Paper 1 for candidates interested in teaching Class 1-5 and Paper 2 for those who want to teach Class 6-8.
Paper-1
The UPTET Exam 2022 Paper 1 pattern is divided into 5 sections,
Child Development and Pedagogy
Language-I (Hindi)
Language-II (English/Urdu/Sanskrit)
Mathematics
Environmental Studies
Each section contains 30 MCQs of 30 marks. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. Candidates need to attempt the paper in offline mode on the OMR sheet.
Paper-2
The UPTET Exam 2022 Paper-2 is divided into four sections,
Child Development and Pedagogy
Language-I (Hindi)
Language-II (English/Urdu/Sanskrit)
(i) Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teacher)
OR
(ii) Social Studies (for Social Science and Social Studies teacher)
OR
(i) or (ii) (for teacher of any other subject)
The first three sections contain 30 questions each and the fourth section contains 60 questions. In the fourth section, candidates have the choice to appear for either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies subject. Candidates need to complete the exam in a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes.
As the UPTET Exam 2022 is approaching and only a few days are left, the candidates should now start revisiting the syllabus and identifying the weak/tough areas.
Candidates must have noted down the topics which they found difficult or tricky. This is the best time to revise those topics thoroughly and remove any sort of ambiguity or confusion.
Mathematics is one of the toughest subjects for most UPTET 2022 aspirants. Candidates should practice formulas and sums regularly. To improve calculations, multiple questions for previous years questions paper should be solved so that candidates are able to easily attempt any mathematical problem in the examination.
NOTE: Don’t devote too much time to solving a single maths problem or equation.
Nowadays many online platforms are giving resource material and free coaching for government exams. Online teachers also solve problems on the spot and make the revision process faster. In comparison to revising from books/written notes, videos are a more efficient way to remember things. Remember to jot down keywords and important points from the video.
Candidates can take help from the books to revise the theory and practice questions. Some of the important books are Disha, Arihant, Upkar Publication and more.
Aspirants should inculcate the habit to write down important points. This habit helps in memorising theory and formulas. If a candidate just s reads then chances are that important points can e forgotten during the examination.
These are some tips and tricks that UPTET candidates can use to ace the examination. Try to attempt all 150 questions correctly as there is no negative marking. For the General category, candidates need 90 out of 150. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, the marks needed are 82 out of 150.
