Mahadev Betting App Scam: Earned Rs 200 Cr Per Day, Included Bollywood, Hawala, and More

Bollywood Betting Scam:  From Comedian Kapil Sharma to Bollywood Superstar Ranbir Kapoor, the recent Mahadev Betting Scam has linked many Bollywood names under its radar. During searches at 39 locations related to this app last month, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seized gold bars, jewellery, and cash totaling Rs 417 crore. The Enforcement Directorate summoned Bollywood actresses Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, who appeared in the app’s advertising, for questioning last week. It is being said that almost 34 bollywood celebs have been linked to this major betting scam, which made approx Rs 200 Cr per day.

Mahadev Betting App Case Explained

Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal, the two masterminds behind the ‘Mahadev App’ scam that defrauded many people all around the world, made around Rs 5000 crore through this scam. Saurabh Chandrakar used to own a juice shop in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with a dream of earning a huge amount and making it big one day. Initially, he began expanding his juice-selling business by creating many branches across Chhattisgarh. He used to bet offline but as the pandemic affected the globe, so did it affect Saurabh and he began online betting. During the lockdown, he decided to design the ‘Mahadev App’, a betting app. This game begins with merely Rs 500 so that more people might become addicted to it. Mahadev App is an online betting platform for a variety of live games like poker, card games, chance games, cricket, badminton, tennis, and football.
