Main Atal Hoon Trailer 2 Released: A montage of many wars weaved with robust dialogues and apt characterization

Main Atal Hoon Trailer Release:  Pankaj Tripathi starrer Main Atal Hoon’s second trailer was released today. Tripathi’s husky voice toned to match the pitch of Vajpayee’s oration opens the trailer with a social commentary relevant regardless of time. The biopic of India’s 10th Prime Minister is scheduled to be released this upcoming Friday i.e. 19 January 2024, and the second trailer vouches for an experience that can leave the audience transfixed, with the stellar characterization of Atal Bihari Vajpayee achieved by the talent Pankaj Tripathi.  

Characterization of the Statesman with poet’s Languor  

Atal Bihari Vajpayee was probably the only politician in the country whose speech and demeanor exuded a poet’s auro; partly because he was a renowned poet who had the capability of weaving words in a manner that they left people with impact and food for thought. 

Pankaj Tripathi in the titular role of Vajpayee has picked up his body language and way of oration in the best possible manner without making it seem like a laborious change he might have had to adjust to. Giving a testament to his craftsmanship, his grip on the characterization of Vajopayee is evident from his body language, stature, and conduct. The ease of his speech and the conviction of his words are reflected in Tripathi’s portrayal of BJP’s former leader.  

A montage of many wars 

The movie includes all the significant political landmarks that took place in the reign of Vajpayee. The trailer is a montage of the timeline of Vajpyee’s journey to the seat of India’s President from the time he joined the Jana Sangh. It makes a stop at every significant ‘war’ the most loved politician of India fought from the backlash of Gandhi’s assassination to the Emergency of 1975, the Pokhran atomic bomb testing, the Lahore bus yatra, the Ram Janambhoomi riots, and  Kargil war.

The first trailer of the movie was released three weeks ago on December 20, where the first glimpse of Tripathi as Vajpayee astonished the audience. The movie attempts to bring the side of Vajpayee’s life that the nation might not be cognisant of, and the purpose is followed in both trailers. It reflected the motivations of Vajpayee to join politics and become a parliamentary member despite the less strength of members from the Jana Sangha. 

The movie will be released in theaters around Republic Day on 19 January 2024, setting it perfectly in the wave of nationalism and patriotic fervor.
