Family & Education 

Dr. Mohan Yadav is a native of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He was born on 25 March 1965  to Mr. Poonamchand Yadam, in the city of Mahakaleshwar, Ujjain.   

Yadav has diverse academic accolades christened to his name. He did his graduation with a Bachelor of Science and went on to pursue an LLB. His major in masters degree was Political Science and Yadav, also did a Ph.D. He is an alumna of the Vikram University Ujjain. 

He is married to Mrs. Seema Yadav. The couple have two sons and a daughter. 

Political Career 

Dr. Mohan Yadav has become the 19th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He is a representative of the Ujjain Dakshin constituency.  

His political career started in the Ujjain Dakshin constituency in the year 2013. He won the assembly elections from the same constituency in 2018 and 2023. 

However, he has been displaying his leadership skills for a long time. He was the co-secretary and later the chairman of the student union of Madhava Vigyan Mahavidhalaya. 

He also served as the Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh in Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s government.   

He took the oath as a cabinet minister of Madhya Pradesh in 2020. He has won the election for the state legislative assembly with more than 13000 votes.  

His Interests 

Dr, Yadav is fond of travelling, and sports, and he indulges in subjects of History, Science, and Sanskrit. He is an active member of the state’s wrestling association.
