Mongolia Ignores ICC Arrest Warrant To Welcome Vladimir Putin

Putin in Mongolia: Mongolia ignored the ICC call to arrest Vladimir Putin, welcoming him into the country with a grand red carpet welcome on Tuesday. Russian President Putin has been alleged for war crimes in Ukraine urging the International Criminal Court to issue a warrant against him in March 2023.

Mongolia ignores ICC warrant 

Mongolia is a member of the International Criminal Court, and ignoring the arrest warrant on Putin to welcome him in the country has put it in a tight spot. Ahead of Putin’s visit, the court has advised Mongolian government to arrest Putin and hand him over to the court in The Hague.  

The warrant has been issued for Putin to commit war crimes by invading Ukraine.
