Nakul Nath Family 

Nakul Nath was born on 21 June 1974 in Kolkata, to father Kamal Nath and mother Alka Nath. He is married to Priya Nath. The two got married on 30 August 2016. 

Nakul Nath Educational Qualification

For his early education, Nath went to the Doon School in Dehradun. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Bay State College, Boston, Massachusetts.

Nakul Nath is a successful entrepreneur with an estimated net worth of Rs. 716 per the affidavit submitted to the Election Commission for Lok Sabha Election 2024. Nakul Nath Political Career 

He began his journey in the Lok Sabha Election 2019, contesting from the same seat his family (father and mother) have been winning with his father recording a 9 time victory. Congress has been reigning in Chhindwara for 11 years even in 2019 when it was the only congress won seat in the whole of Madhya Pradesh out of the total 29.

In 2019, Nakul Nath defeated BJP candidate Nathan Shah by over 37,000 votes as his electoral debut win. 

Controversy around joining BJP 

In February 2019, rumours sparked that Kamal Nath’s son Nakul Nath was planning to join Bharatiya Janata Party after he dropped ‘congress' from his X (formerly Twitter) bio. Thereafter, the son and father both shut down any such rumours. 

Kamal Nath started his political journey with the Indian National Congress and has been referred to as the “third son” by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1979.
