Navratri 2025: All About The Nine Forms of Goddess Durga, Shailaputri to Siddhidhatri

Navratri 2025: Chaitra Navratri is among the two major Navratri celebrated across India. They are celebrated during the Shukla Paksha of the Chaitra month as per the Hindu calendar also marking the beginning of the Hindu New Year. Nine forms of the Goddess Durga are revered and celebrated during this festival with each form representing her divine energies and powers. 

The first day is dedicated to the Goddess Shailaputri, known to wear white clothes, and she mounts on an Ox. The second day is for Goddess Brhamacharini. Goddess Chandraghanta is worshiped on the third day and is known to wear red clothes, mounted on a tiger with ten hands. The fourth day is for Goddess Kushmanda, the fifth for Goddess Skandamata, the Sixth for Goddess Katyayani, the seventh for Goddess Kalaratri, the eighth for  Mahagauri, and the last Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Siddhidhatri.
