Coronavirus Update: Positivity Rate rises 6.66%, chances of lockdown emerge?

152 New Covid Cases, 6.6% Positivity Rate

According to data released by the health department, Delhi recorded 152 new coronavirus cases on Friday, with a positive rate of 6.66 percent. On Thursday, it had 117 cases with a positive rate of 4.95 percent. Last October, the city registered cases in the three-digit range. The number of new Covid cases in Delhi has increased in recent days, as has the country’s H3N2 influenza case count. On Wednesday, the city reported 84 coronavirus cases with a 5.08 percent positivity rate. On Tuesday, it recorded 83 cases, with a 5.83 percent positive rate and one fatality.

424 Active Corona Cases in Delhi

With the new cases, the national capital’s COVID-19 case tally now stands at 20,08,440, with a death toll of 26,524. According to the report, only 27 of the 7,984 beds in dedicated COVID-19 hospitals are occupied, while 250 patients remain isolated at home. According to the data, there are presently 424 active cases in the national capital. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the influenza A subtype H3N2 virus is causing the increase in influenza cases.
