New Delhi Railway Station Stampede: High-Level Committee Investigates The Reason For The Accident

New Delhi Railway Station Stampede:  The railway ministry has dismissed several media reports claiming that the stampede at the New Delhi Railway station was due to the announcement of the last-minute platform change. 

It further assured that an investigation is taking place by a high-level committee formed by the Northern Railway to get to the root cause of the stampede. The committee is recording statements from more than 100 people to analyze them in a report. 

Additionally, the railways plan to introduce new crowd management measures including manual crowd control, holding areas outside 60 major stations before train arrivals, stringent ticket checks and training programs on crowd management.
