Happy Birthday Nia Sharma: Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behena Hai to Jamai 2.0 her 11 glorious years in Industry

Television actress Nia Sharma is known for her acting and her bold personality. She made her debut in 2010 with serial Kaali - Ek Agnipariksha and rose to fame with 2011 Star Plus serial Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai and came a long way in the past 11 years. Not only Television serials, but Nia has also done many music videos, reality shows and even Web Series like Jamai 2.0.

She was number two in The Times Most Desirable Women on TV 2020 list and was ranked third and second in the Top 50 Sexiest Asian Women list published by British-based Eastern Eye newspaper in 2016 and 2017.

Nia Sharma Career Chronology

While the actress is currently rising high in the industry, she is also making a big statement with her outspoken and fearless personality. As she is celebrating her 31st Birthday let's look at the glorious 11 years of Nia Sharma in the Television industry. 

2010–2013: Debut and Big Breakthrough

Debut- Nia Sharma stepped into the Television world with 2010 serial Star Plus's Kaali - Ek Agnipariksha. She played the supporting role of Anu. Later she also starred in Star Plus’s multi starrer serial Behenein in the role of Nisha Mehta. 

Breakthrough- After doing side roles in two serials, Nia finally got her big through in 2011 Star Plus show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai. Nia played the parallel lead role of Manvi Chaudhary with  Krystle D'Souza, Karan Tacker and Kushal Tandon. The show was a big hit and aired for 2 years till 2013. 

2014 - Jamai Raja 

Big Role-  Nia Sharma’s career rose to heights with Zee TV’s show Jamai Raja. She played the role of Roshni Patel opposite Ravi Dubey. Nia and Ravi’s onscreen romance was highly praised, and Nia made a big fan base. The show was also special as it was produced by Bollywood Khiladi Kumar aka Akshay Kumar. Nia Was part of the show for 2 years till 2016, and later moved out from it. 

2017- Digital Debut and Reality Show

In 2017 after quitting Jamai Raja, Nia Sharma got her first digital project and she starred in Vikram Bhatt's web series Twisted. This was an erotic thirller and brought a new bold face of Nia to the audience. Nia played the role of a supermodel named Aliyah Mukherjee and shared the screen with her co-star Rrahul Sudhir and Namit Khanna.

In July 2017, Nia also got her first reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. Aired on Colors Tv, the show was a stunt-based reality show hosted by Rohit Shetty. Nia got eliminated from the show twice and later got a wild entry and stayed till the end. She was the first finalist of the show. 

Later in October Nia joined another Star Plus show Meri Durga and played the role of Palasha Trivedi. She was seen in the show for three months and Nia quit it in January 2018. 

2018- Big Hit: Ishq Mein Marjawan

In the year 2018, Nia also did the second and third season of her debut web series Twisted and reprised her character named Aliyah Mukherjee. 

In July 2018, Nia started her next television series Ishq Mein Marjawan which led her popularity to one step ahead. She played the double role of Aarohi Kashyap and Anjali Sharma opposite Arjun Bijlani in Colors Tv’s suspense thriller series which ended in June 2019. 

2019- Naagin 4

In November 2019 Nia Sharma got on-rolled in Ekta Kapoor’s hit supernatural revenge franchise Naagin. Nia got featured in the fourth season ‘Naagin 4: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel’ as shape shifting serpent Brinda opposite Vijayendra Kumeria. The show got off air in August 2020 and gave Nia a new identity. With Mouni Roy and Heena Khan Nia Sharma also became one of the hottest Naagin on Television world. 

2020- Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India India 

After rising to another level of success Nia again appeared in Colors Tv’s stunt reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi – Made in India  and was crowned winner of the season. 

2021: OTT Projects and more

In 2021, Nia got back with the second season of her hit serial Jamai Raja. She got featured as Roshni Patel in Jamai 2.0 opposite Ravi Dubey. The second season is streaming on OTT platform ZEE5 and is a big hit. 

Bigg Boss OTT: In September 2021, Nia did a surprise guest entry in the first season of Bigg Boss OTT streaming live on Voot Select. Nia stayed as the Boss Lady in the Bigg Boss house for one day and brought some big twists in the game.
