Niyati Fatnani was born on January 11, 1991, in Rajkot, Gujarat, India. Niyati's parents’ names are Suresh Fatnani and Komal Fatnani. Fatnani has a younger sister, Barkha Fatnani. She completed her early education at Amar Jyoti Saraswati International School in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. She’s also a professional Kathak dancer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from GLS Institute of Business Administration in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Following her graduation, she relocated to Mumbai and participated in casting calls before being chosen to make her television debut as “Niharika” opposite Utkarsh Gupta on Channel V’s ‘D4-Get Up and Dance’. She costarred with Eijaz Khan as “Dharmavidya Raidhan Katara / Arundhati / Mukhiyani” in ‘Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaagey’ in 2017. From 2018 to 2020, Fatnani played “Piya Sharma Rathod” in ‘Nazar’ opposite Harsh Rajput, which marked a turning point in her career. She also starred as “Piya” in the 2021 telefilm ‘Ankahee Dastaan’. In 2022, Fatnani played “Ginni Garewal Singh” in ‘Channa Mereya’, opposite Karan Wahi. In 2023, she starred as “Asmita Roy” in Disney+ Hotstar’s ‘Dear Ishq’, opposite Sehban Azim. She also played the character “Avantika” in ‘Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal’.
