Pahalgam Terror Attack: Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan after the tragic Pahalgam terrorist attack, India’s neighbour Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi has extended his willingness to strengthen diplomatic relations with India. Muttaqi met with Anand Prakash, India’s special envoy and head of the Ministry of External Affairs’ Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan section, in Kabul on Sunday. 

India-Taliban Meeting

During this conference, the Taliban declared a desire to strengthen diplomatic and economic connections with India, which is regarded as a significant diplomatic loss for Pakistan. Muttaqi asked Indian businesses to invest in Afghan projects, and the two countries discussed the subject of trade transit. The Taliban called for the normalization of the Indian visa process for Afghan citizens, particularly merchants, patients, and students.
