Double win for Huang Ya Qiong

The Paris Olympics has indeed been memorable for Huang Ya Qiong, who won China its first badminton Gold in the mixed doubles with Zheng Si Wei. Minutes after, the 30 year-old shuttler was proposed to by her boyfriend and fellow shuttler Liu Yuchen with a ring on one knee on 2 August. 

Alice Finot’s Proposal with a Pin 

While most go for a wedding ring, Alice Finot went for an Olympics pin to propose to her long term boyfriend Bruno Martínez Bargiela after she broke the European steeplechase record with a remarkable time of 8:58.67 with a pin that read, “Love is in Paris.” Finot finished in fourth with a slight miss of three seconds. 

Double proposal for Sarah Steyaert and Charline Picon

French women's skiff sailors Sarah Steyaert and Charline Picon returned shore after winning a bronze medal at the Olympics to find their respective partners on knees waiting with rings. The two said “Oui” and had a great day at the beach ahead with their families celebrating their love. 

Justin Best and Lainey Duncan’s 2,738 Roses

The thoughtful and emotional proposal of Justin Best, USA’s gold winning rower was indeed one a kind. He proposed with a total of 2,738 roses to his nine years girlfriend Lainey Duncan to match their snap streak with each other live on the Today Show on 5 August.

Alessia Maurelli said ‘Yes’

Three time Olympian, Alessia Maurelli, a rhythmic gymnast from team Italy took home a bronze medal and a diamond ring on her finger on 10 August. Her two year boyfriend Massimo Bertelloni got on his knees right after she got off the podium to propose to her, and she said ‘yes.’
