Retro Film Festival Cinepolis: Bollywood enthusiasts and cinephiles are constantly getting surprises as several cinema houses are announcing the theatrical re-release of several nostalgic and superhit movies. From Jab We Met to DDLJ, many films are being re-released so that the audience can experience the nostalgia and excitement on the big screens. India’s leading multiplex chain Cinepolis has recently announced its Retro Film Festival from March 22-28. The theatre chain has lined up three superhit movies of the 90s of Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, and others. Take a look at the details.

Following the footsteps of the PVR-INOX Nostalgia Film Festival, Cinepolis announced the re-release of some of Bollywood’s 90s blockbuster films to make sure fans get to re-live the iconic moments and dialogues of their favourite characters. The 7-day event will see SRK’s ‘Baazigar’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khiladi’, and Saif Ali Khan-Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’getting re-released in all the Cinepolis theatres near you.
Sharing the same on his social media, Shah Rukh posted, “Flashback to a time when magic unfolded on the silver screen! Inviting you to relive those moments at our Retro Film Festival with the iconic Bollywood classic - “Baazigar.” As someone who had the privilege to bring this magic to life, I’m thrilled to join you in this nostalgic journey. Let’s celebrate the timeless era of Bollywood together!”

Reliving Bollywood Nostalgia
Directed by Abbas-Mustan, the 1993 thriller movie holds a special position in King Khan’s magical Bollywood career, where he plays the role of an antagonist. The film’s dialogues and soundtracks has it own fanbase, and re-releasing this timeless classic comes as a big holi surprise for SRKians. Similarly, talking about Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar’s 1992 movie ‘Khiladi’, which also stars Ayesha Jhulka, Deepak Tijori and Sabeeha in pivotal roles. ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ stars Akshay and Saif Ali Khan in the lead, along side Shilpa Shetty in lead roles. The movie was released in 1994 and was directed by Sameer Malkan.
