Sagar Parekh Biography:  Sagar Parekh is a television personality famed for his role as Samar Shah in TV’s popular ‘Television Series of the Year’ Anupama starring Rupaly Ganguly as Anupama. 

About Sagar Parekh   

Sagar Parekh hails from the city of Patna, Bihar. Born on November 1, 1997, to Mrs. Hetal Parekh, Sagar was a student at the Litera Valley School in his hometown. Unlike many tales of actors who pursued acting as their childhood passion, Parekh’s journey was a little astray from the likes. His journey in TV and acting started with his mother’s passion for acting. Sagar had grown up intending to become a Chartered Accountant until his mother sent his pictures in a chance to a casting director without much hope for getting anything in return. But her mother’s chance led to the domino effect which ended with Sagar appearing on ‘Anupama’ and now entering the dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.’     

Career 

Sagar announced his wild card entry on season 11 of ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.’ earlier he was a part of the popular TV show ‘Anuapama’ playing the role of much-loved Samar Shah, Anupama’s loving and supporting son. Parekh landed the role as a replacement for Paras Kalnawat. 

Talking about the recognition the show earned him, he expressed his gratitude for the opportunity and also shared the backstory of being oblivious that the role was a replacement. 

Sagar Parekh debuted on Indian television in 2016 with a young adult show ‘Gumrah-End of Innocence.’ it was the show his mother had sent his pictures for, and later on his episodic role proved to be his carpet on the road of television.   

Parekh appeared in a leading role for two episodes of ‘Aye Zindagi’ on Zing TV hosted by Rithvik Dhanjani.  

Sagar became a regular in many teen and young adult shows. He was a part of several of them including, Internet Wala Pyaar, Internet Wala Love (2018-2019), Babbar Ka Tabbar (2018), Rajaa Betaa (2019), and Fanaa: Ishq Mein Marjawan (2022), as well as the 2021 television serial Balika Vadhu 2

Awards

He won the  International Iconic Best Supporting Actor of Indian Television at the International Iconic Awards for the show ‘Anupama’. 

Sagar Parekh has won the love and support of the audience as an actor. Now he is set to charm them with his choreographed grooves and moves in the dance show as a wild card entry.
