Sahil Khan Arrested: After Tamannaah Bhatia was summoned for the infamous Mahadev Betting scam, Mumbai’s cyber cell special investigation team arrested actor Sahil Khan from Chhattisgarh in connection with the app case, following the denial of actor Sahil Khan’s pre-arrest bail plea by the Bombay High Court. Sahil Khan, known for films such as “Style” and “Xcuse Me,” was questioned for over four hours by the SIT formed in connection with the Mahadev betting app case, and the investigation is still ongoing involving 31 others.

Sahil Khan Early Life & Education

Sahil Kausar Khan, aka Sahil Khan, was born on November 5, 1976, in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, to an Indian Muslim father and a Chinese Christian mother. He finished his 12th grade at Badaun Public School and then went on to Iqra Public School in Aligarh. His interest in filmmaking was sparked when his father gave him a Sony Handy Cam. Sahil received his bachelor's degree in political science from Aligarh Muslim University and his master's degree in mass communication from the same institution. However, Sahil was interested in film editing, filmmaking, and event organization, as well as aspiring to be a professional bodybuilder. 

Sahil Khan Career

Sahil began his modeling career in 2000, appearing in Stereo Nation’s music video “Nachenge Saari Raat.” He made his Bollywood debut with “Style” in 2001, alongside Sharman Joshi, Riya Sen, and Shilpi Mudgal, which went on to become a box-office success. He then went on to star in the film’s sequel, “Xcuse Me.” Apart from this, Sahil has also played pivotal roles in “Yehi Hai Zindagi” and “Double Cross” (2005), “Aladin” (2009), “Ramaa: The Saviour” (2010), and Shringaar (2013).

Sahil Khan Fitness Journey

Soon after, in 2014, Sahil launched an online fitness training service in Mumbai. Following that, in 2016, Sahil launched a tour called ‘Musical N Beach’ at Baga Beach in Goa. In 2018, he also launched My Fitness, a peanut butter brand, as well as other fitness products such as Wigmusclers Nutrition and Max Energy Drink. Sahil founded Hunk Water, a fitness water company, in 2018. Sahil was also honoured with the Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award (2022) for Youth Icon in India.

Sahil married Negar Khan in 2003 but later got separated in July 2005. According to reports, the actor’s ex-wife accused him of being gay. According to his latest social media posts, the 47-year-old actor was seen sharing cozy moments with his 21-year-old girlfriend Milena and referred to her as his “wife” on social media. He later revealed that they both got engaged in Russia and are legally married.

Sahil Khan and Mahadev Betting App Case 

Khan got in trouble for allegedly advertising betting apps online. Social activist Prakash Bankar filed an FIR complaint in November 2023, alleging that there were websites where people could bet on cricket, football, tennis, and card games such as Teen Patti. Khan was one of the individuals accused in this complaint. The complaint stated that there were numerous betting apps on social media, including Khiladi Book, which was part of the Mahadev app and was promoted by Sahil Khan.
