Munjya OTT Release Date: Sharvari Starrer Supernatural Horror Comedy Will Be Streaming On THIS Platform

Munjya on OTT:  Featuring the first CGI character of India in film, Munjya has claimed a historical accomplishment on its release in theaters on 7 June 2024. Coming from the supernatural universe of Maddock following ‘Stree’, ‘Roohi’, and ‘Bhediya’ Munjya is a sleeper hit with a gross collection of Rs. 130 crores over a production budget of Rs. crore most of which went into developing the CGI character of Munjya, the ghost protagonist of the film. If you missed its theatrical release, brace yourself as it arrives on OTT. 

Munjya OTT Release Date 

Per the norm, any movie first released in theaters will stream on the over-the-top platform only after four weeks. Munjya’s streaming rights have been secured by Disney+ Hotstar however its release date is still under wraps. Going by the aforementioned norm, Munjya is expected to make its OTT appearance in August.

Bittu essayed by Abhay Verma is unaware of the dark history of his ancestors and unleashes the mischievous spirit of Munjya, a young boy turned into a malevolent spirit after he fails to win her lover Munni with the help of black magic. Munjya’s spirit claws to Bittu unraveling chaos and confusion as he tries to make the union of Munni and Munjya possible. Through the legend of Munjya blending Indian mythology and folklore, the film brings the sentimental side of the ghost story to the fore in the true characteristic Maddock film manner to engage the audience in a cinematically unique experience.

Munjya may not boast of Bollywood A-listers however it has a stellar and talented cast ensemble of Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and Sathyaraj. Munjya, the ghost in the folklore-inspired supernatural horror comedy is a CGI-generated character. 

Helmed by Aditya Sarpotdar under the banner of Maddock Films, Munjya is backed by Dinesh Vijen and Amar Kaushik. 

The movie has been a commercial success with its gross collection escalating it to the top five highest-grossing movies of 2024 so far.
