Bangladesh Protest: Sheikh Hasina, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh found refuge in her long time neighbors and ally, India when the student-led protest in the state blew out of proportion leaving her with no other choice but to resign from her position. Now as she stays in India, her stay has posed a threat to the amicable international ties between the two nations post interim-government leader Muhammad Yunus, a rival of Hasina, leads the State.
After sheltering Hasina with comfort and no pressure, the Indian state has found itself in a diplomatic dilemma with Hasina’s rival in power of the State in Dhaka. India’s stance at lending support to the former Bangladesh government is not viewed in the positive light in the nigger scale of image from the current leaders of the neighbouring state. In such a situation, the length of Hasina’s stay in India is under a lot of question.
