On March 8, 2023, Disney Hotstar announced on Twitter that it was cutting relations with HBO. It added, "Starting March 31, HBO content won't be available on Disney+ Hotstar. Indian fans were taken aback by the news, especially since the streamer was the only place they could watch HBO material as it is not directly accessible in the country. Good news!!
