The film will take a Digital route and depict the story of Shreegauri Sawant played by Sushmita Sen. The initiative to make a biographical drama revolving around the real life trans activist Gauri Sawant has been drawing all the positive attention so far. For the unversed, Gauri fought against all the odds to make this society and culture a better place for the Transgenders. She has been fighting for the rights of the third gender of the country. Unveiling the release date of her most anticipated project, Sushmita posted the teaser of the film alongside a heartfelt caption. Taali is scheduled to be released on August 15, 2023. Independence day. Check out the teaser.
