Telangana Tunnel Collapse: Rescue Operation Escalates, NDRF, Army, Rat Miners, NDRF Teams Deployed

Telangana Tunnel Rescue Updates: More than 70 hours have gone since eight workers became trapped in the world’s longest water tunnel, which is being built approximately 132 kilometers from Hyderabad. On February 22, part of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal Tunnel collapsed. There has been no touch with the workers who are stuck inside till today. Experts from the Army, Navy, NDRF, SDRF, IIT, and L&T are constantly involved in the rescue. 

Rat-Miners on Rescue

The location of the workers stuck in the SLBC tunnel is being tracked via their mobile phone signals. 584 expert personnel and 14 ‘rat-hole miners’ are also involved in the rescue efforts, along with a sniffer dog unit. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to work tirelessly to rescue the trapped persons.
