After four months, the number of covid cases that are still active has reached its peak. The rapidity of coronavirus cases is alarming. As of right now, there are about 7,000 active cases nationwide.

Highest in 140 days

According to the official report, there has been an upsurge in coronavirus infections in India. For the past week, the nation has seen an average of 888 new cases of infection recorded each day. In one day last week, 1,300 new coronavirus infection cases were reported. The overall number of infected individuals in the nation has since climbed to 4,46,99,418. At the same time, there are now 7,605 patients receiving treatment. The Ministry of Health reports that this day's total of new cases is the highest in the previous 140 days.

Statistics show that patients recover at a national rate of 98.79 percent. A total of 4,41,60,997 people have managed to avoid contracting the virus thus far, while the covid-19 fatality rate is 1.19 percent. A statewide immunisation effort in India has resulted in the administration of 220.65 crore doses of anti-covid-19 vaccine, according to the Ministry of Health's website.
