Triptii Dimri in Animal Movie: Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial Animal featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandana, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol has been shooting firecrackers! The movie has been received with brimming excitement and is known to leave you pumped up as no good gym day could ever be.
Out of the cast ensemble in the movie, Triptii Dimri has received exceptional recognition for her role of Zoya, who is believed to have a more sparking chemistry with Ranvijay (Ranbir Kapoor)
This begs the question, who is Triptii Dimri?
Dimri is an Indian actress best known for her phenomenal performance (quite literally) in ‘Bulbul’ produced by Anushka Sharma and her compelling delivery in Anvita Dutt’s ‘Qala’.
She shared the screen opposite Ranbir Kapoor in turbulently invigorating ‘Animal’ as his extra-marital love interest.
Triptii hails from the picturesque mountains of Gharwal, Uttarakhand. She was born on 23 February 1994 to Meenakshi and Dinesh Dimri.
She is an alumna of the DPS franchise, having studied at the Delhi Public School, Firozabad. A graduate in psychology from Sri Aurobindo College, she went on to pursue acting at FTII, Pune after her graduation.
Triptii was first seen on the big screen in 2017 with Sunny Deol, in the comedy film Poster Boys, the movie could not make a long-lasting impression though. Her debut lead role was of Laila in the tragic romance tale Laila Majnu’s adaption in 2018. The songs and the movie gave some extent of recognition to her and Avinash Tiwary who played Majnu against her.
Triptii’s fame in Bollywood catapulted with her performance in ‘Bulbul’ making her a subject of the audience’s curiosity. She played the female lead in the fantastical period drama, and her role as Bulbul was critically acclaimed.
Qala followed Bulbul in making Triptii Dimri a domestic name for many. Her enchanting delivery of the emotions, psychology, and hurt experienced by Qala was lauded by critics and fans alike.
In 2023, Animal skyrocketed her fame after she was seen next to Ranbir Kapoor in one of the most anticipated movies of the year, which is still winning people’s admiration in the theaters.
In 2020, Bulbul won her the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actress. She also secured the 8th position in the list of Top Bollywood Actresses by Rediff.com. She was a part of the list of women recognized under Forbes Asia’s 30 under 30 in 2021.
Triptii Dimri has gained recognition and popularity for her stellar performances and unique selection of roles. She will be next seen with Vicky Kaushal in ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ a film by Anand Tiwari.
