A new scheme has been launched by the Uttar Pradesh government for women and newborns. This scheme has been named as Matritva Shishu and Balika Madad Yojana. This scheme has been started by the state government for the poor and women of the state who are pregnant or who have given birth or are about to go. 

Under this scheme, some financial help will be given to the women for the purpose of giving rest/rest before and after delivery so that the food and drink of the mother can be taken care of in such a situation. Under this scheme, the wives of labour women or labour men will be benefitted. Pregnant women have to fill the scheme application form to take advantage of this scheme.

Purpose of the scheme

The objective of the Maternity and Childhood Scheme is to provide assistance to labour women engaged in construction work or to the wives of labouring men who are pregnant. The purpose of this scheme is to provide benefits to those women who are unable to take rest before and after delivery, so they have to work only a few days after delivery due to compulsion. Keeping this in mind, financial assistance is being provided by the government for the purpose of giving comfort to the mothers and taking care of their food and drink.

Eligibility

  • Those labour women who will be registered and the wife of the registered labour man will be eligible to apply for this scheme.

  • Applicants can get benefits under this scheme only up to two children.

  • Only citizens of Uttar Pradesh state can be eligible for this scheme.

  • Applicant's age should be above 18 years .

 

Benefits

  • 20 thousand rupees will be given on the birth of a son and 25 thousand rupees on the birth of a daughter .

  • In case of abortion of labor woman, at least 2 months salary will be given.

  • If the first and second child is a girl child or if the girl child is adopted , the facility of a fixed deposit of 25 thousand will be given.

  • At least 3 months salary will be given in the form of medical amount in the delivery stage.

Documents Required

  • Aadhar Card

  • Identity card of registered worker

  • Birth Certificate of Infant (Boy/Girl)

  • Photocopy of bank pass book

  • statutory tattoo

  • labour card

  • Proof of registration given by Anganwadi program

  • delivery certificate given by medical officer

How to apply

  • First of all you have to go to the official website .

  • The home page of the website will open in front of you.

  • On the home page, you have to go to the option of what's new in the menu .

  • There will be many options in front of you , you have to click on download .

  • On clicking, a new page will appear in front of you.

  • Here you have to click on the Scheme Common Application Form .

  • The form will be downloaded as a PDF file .

  • After that you have to fill out the information asked in the form .

  • Attach all the required documents with the form .

  • Now submit the form to the concerned department .

  • Thus your application process ends .

  • After a few months of submitting the form, you will be given the benefit of the scheme .
