IAS Topper Success Stories: Know how Pradeep Singh cleared the USPC exam with AIR 26 at age of 23 only

UPSC Topper Pradeep Singh Success Story: 

Clearing India’s one of the toughest exams i.e., the UPSC Civil Services Exam is not a cakewalk as students struggle hard to achieve their goal of becoming an IAS officer. But then, over shunning that struggle are such inspirational stories that always fill in the students with unending motivation to achieve their goal and prove their potentials. So, let’s start again by discussing one such inspirational story of an All India Rank 26 scorer, Pradeep Singh, a boy who became an IAS officer with limited resources.

Pradeep Singh always states that the struggle which he went through to become an IAS officer is nothing in front of the sacrifices of his parents. Born in 1996, in the Gopalganj district of Bihar, soon Pradeep’s family shifted to Indore. 

Pradeep did his schooling in Indore and achieved a degree in B.Com (Hons.) from IIPS DAVV college. Hailing from a middle-class family, Pradeep’s father works at a petrol pump and his mother is a housewife. Pradeep’s elder brother works for a private firm. Pradeep decided to appear for the UPSC Civil Exams soon after he graduated, but going to Delhi to get coaching, due to limited resources, used to seem beyond reality to Pradeep. But being a supportive father, Pradeep’s father believed in his son, and to assist him with his studies, he sold out their house to send Pradeep Delhi for further studies. 

To keep up with the expenses of studying and Delhi and other petty expenses, Pradeep’s father even sold their ancestral land located in their village. To pay off the sacrifices made by Pradeep’s family, Pradeep studied very hard and appeared for the UPSC Civil Services exam 2018. Pradeep cleared his UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018 in his first attempt and was shortlisted to become an IRS officer as per the merit list. 

But his aim to become an IAS officer was constant, and hence, Pradeep appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2019 again cleared the UPSC Civil Service Exam to become an IAS officer with an All India Rank 26, that too at the age of 23.
