Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Friday said that ‘US President Joe Biden feels that India should have a permanent seat in the UN Security Council (UNSC).’

Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his US visit to meet American President Joe Biden, VC Kamala Harris, and attend a meeting with the Quad, the Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla quoted “There was an appreciation of our presidency of the UN Security Council, especially on the Afghanistan issue. President Joe Biden was very specific in stating that he felt India should have a permanent seat in the UN Security Council.”
