Heatwave is predicted to continue its atrocities in states of Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and more. A fresh spell of rain on Wednesday evening in several areas of Delhi has proven to be effective for the inhabitants of the city. The worsening heat has been affecting the life and livelihood of people; with the light rain the weather turned pleasant on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. The weather department has predicted partly cloudy sky with thunderstorms, dust storms, and light rain on Thursday with a wind speed of 30 to 40 kmph. The temperature today is likely to hover between 32 to 40 degrees celsius today. Rain is anticipated in the capital city on 6 and 7 June.
The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in Goa, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka, Assam, and Meghalaya.
Light to moderate rainfall has been forecasted in Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada district, Bagalkot, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Koppal, Raichur districts, Ballari, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapura, Chitradurga, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Ramanagara, Tumkur, Vijayanagara districts of Karnataka by the MeT Department.
Heavy rains are anticipated in Goa and Konkan on 8th and 9th June with Assam and Meghalaya on 7th and 8th June followed by Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Karnataka on 9th June.
Scattered light to moderate rainfall has been predicted into Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Vidarbha, and Madhya Pradesh from today to 10th June.
North Indian states - Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are expected to have light rain with thunderstorms over the next three days.
IMD has also predicted heatwaves in isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand with heatwaves in isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh today.
