Weather Update: IMD Issues Severe Heatwave Alert in North India Including Delhi-NCR, UP

Weather Update: As soon as the month of April started, people have already started to feel the intense heat due to increasing temperatures. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow heat wave alert for Delhi-NCR, UP, and the entire north India starting from today. The maximum temperature is predicted to be 41 degrees, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 21 degrees. 

IMD Issues Advisory

The heat will rise rapidly as a result of the intense sunlight at the beginning of the day. People have been advised to avoid going out and drink plenty of water. It has been advised to avoid leaving the house between 12 noon and 4 p.m. Wear light-coloured cotton clothing. When leaving the house, remember to bring goggles, an umbrella, a hat, and shoes. Avoid drinking tea, coffee, carbonated soft drinks, and alcohol.
