Kanchaenjunga Express: In West Bengal’s Darjeeling district, a freight train collided with the Kanchenjunga Express. The accident claimed the lives of five passengers and reportedly injured many others. Meanwhile, the disaster team has arrived, and relief and rescue operations are underway at the accident site.
A senior North Frontier Railway (NFR) official said the Sealdah-bound Kanchenjunga Express collided with a freight train near New Jalpaiguri on Monday morning. Following the collision with the freight train, three of the train's bogies derailed. The situation is said to be serious, with 25-30 people injured.
