Yamuna Expressway Fine: The government has established a new overspeeding rule. The speed limit on Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway has been decreased starting today. The goal of these new laws is to improve road safety and reduce the frequency of accidents. The Yamuna Development Authority has sent a letter regarding the alteration. Authorities believe that fog reduces visibility on roadways throughout the winter, making driving more difficult.
If you drive a light vehicle faster than the statutory speed limit (which has been reduced from 100 km/h to 75 km/h) on the Yamuna Expressway, you will be fined Rs 2,000. Heavy vehicles will face a Rs 4,000 punishment (the speed limit has been reduced from 80 km/h to 60 km/h). According to reports, provisions have been prepared to transport the injured to the hospital for prompt treatment in the event of an accident on the 165-kilometer-long Yamuna Expressway from Greater Noida to Agra.
