2022 Maruti Wagon R Review - What else will you get on the MILEAGE Mighty?
In February 2022, Maruti Suzuki launched the Wagon R facelift in India with a slew of variants across three distinctive powertrain options. The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is available in four variant options – LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI+. The 1.0-litre engine option is available in LXI and VXI variants, while the ZXI and ZXI+ variants are powered by the 1.2-litre engine option.
Maruti Suzuki Interior
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R features the dual-tone premium beige and dark grey melange seat fabric seats. The dashboard is highlighted by a seven-inch Smart Play Studio with smartphone navigation. Additionally, the vehicle offers four speakers and cloud-based services to enhance the overall ownership experience. The standard safety feature list includes – dual airbags, Anti Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), front seat belts reminder, high-speed alert system, and rear parking sensors.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Exterior
The updated Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is based on the Heartect platform. Most of the styling elements have been retained from its predecessor. The vehicle gets a sporty floating roof design with dynamic alloy wheels. Depending on the variant, the vehicle is available in dual-tone body colour, such as – gallant red and magma grey with a black roof.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Engine and Performance
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is available in two petrol engine options. The 1.0-litre next-gen K-Series dual jet, dual VVT engine petrol engine is available in manual, AGS, and CNG options. The manual version produces 66bhp at 5,500rpm and 89Nm of torque at 3,500rpm, while the CNG mode generates 82.1Nm of torque at 3,400rpm. The 1.2-litre advanced K-series dual jet, dual VVT engine with Idle Start Stop technology generates 89bhp at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 4,400rpm.
This engine is available in both manual and AGS options. For added convenience, the AGS version also offers the hill hold function.
