One of the most anticipated and much-awaited movies of this year, Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan starrer Adipurursh is all set to hit theatres this week. Fans are already excited for the big box office release of the visually stunning movie, which has some breathtaking VFX and scenes to look out for. Now, it has been reported that the movie will be releasing on OTT as well. Director Om Raut also requested the producers that all the theatres, which will be showcasing the movie on the day of its release, will reserve a seat for Lord Hanuman as it is said that Lord Hanuman is present every time Ramayana is read. As of now, prior to 3 days of its release, the movie has already made advance bookings of more than 15,000.

On Saturday night, reservations for Adipurush went on sale to the public, and the response has been encouraging. The Om Raut-directed film, produced by Bhushan Kumar has sold almost 18,000 tickets as of Sunday evening at the three major national theatre chains, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. Adipurush plans to close the counters at somewhere between 23,000 and 25,000 tickets by midnight. PVR and Inox are out in front, selling 8,800 and 6,100 tickets each, while Cinepolis has only sold 3,500. Although sales are geared 60% towards the opening day alone, Adipurush has sold tickets in the three chains in excess of 35,000 for the weekend. So far, it has been a great start for Adipurush ahead of its grand release.
Amazon Prime Video has taken the rights of Adipurush and fans will soon be able to enjoy the movie on OTT. Although the producers have not made any formal statements regarding OTT rights, multiple media outlets recently reported that Amazon Prime Video purchased the digital rights to Adipurush for a whopping Rs. 250 crores.
