Adipurush Review: Amid backlashes Prabhas-Kriti starrer draws sizable audience to the cinemas

Adipurush Review:The moment we have all been waiting for, with the roaring chant of Jai Shree Ram!!! Telugu superstar Prabhas starrer ‘Adipurush’ has finally made its debut in global cinemas. The much awaited Prabhas-Kriti Sanon film directed by director Om Raut has started making a lot of noise online. The mythological drama high on VFX and serene background slated as the retelling of the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’ has been released in multiple multiplexes across the country and overseas in 2D and 3D format. Despite receiving initial flak for the star casting and low quality VFX alongside tampering with the history, Adipurush has managed to bring a sizable audience to the cinemas.

According to initial reports, Adipurush made a remarkable entry into the box office, grossing over Rs. 12-13 Crore through advance bookings alone. Prabhas left the audience spellbound with his magnetic presence and thrilling performances, embracing a completely different persona in this mythological tale. Kriti Sanon, portraying the role of Sita, also receives praise for her graceful portrayal. One cannot overlook the chemistry between Prabhas and Kriti Sanon on screen, contributing to a captivating and beautiful storyline. Saif Ali Khan, portraying the character of Lankeshwar, brings his own charisma, and somehow people do feel that he did a applaudable job as an antagonist. 

However, the graphics, reminiscent of video games, do not enhance the narrative and instead detract from it. The music and background score of Adipurush, composed by Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara, as well as the songs by Ajay-Atul and Sachet-Parampara, have resonated with the audience.
