06 Mar, 2023

For those who have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the Ashram flyover, there is good news. In reality, the Ashram flyover is already available to vehicles as of today, Monday. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, today officially opened the Ashram Extension flyover. The Chief Minister commented that it is a very happy day because it will be simpler to go from Noida to Delhi and from North Delhi to South Delhi once it is finished.

More than Rs 140 crore was spent

PWD had given a private business the job of building the Ashram Extension flyover in June 2020. The construction was supposed to be finished in roughly a year, however it couldn't be done by June 2021. Following that, the deadline of September 30, 2021, was maintained. After that, it was completed on November 30, 2021, and on February 28, 2022.

However, it might not be ready for traffic until March 28. It took 33 months to build. Yet, there is still work to be done. This project was expected to cost around Rs 128.79 crore. PWD employees have paid the organisation 142.54 crore rupees as of January 2023. An additional Rs 13.75 crore has been spent in this way.
