The family of Akshay Shinde is requesting a safe place for their son's burial in the Thane neighborhood of Ambarnath. The family went to Ambarnath Municipal Corporation and demanded burial space, but the corporation refused to grant it to them because it would cause unrest among the locals. According to the local police, the accused attempted to flee on the Mumbra bypass in Thane on Monday night while being returned from Taloja jail to Badlapur. He then shot a police officer, resulting in his assassination with preemptive gunfire.
