5-Steps At Home Brightening Facial For Bakrid

At-home facials are a great way to save some bucks and also give your skin the care it needs. With all-natural and DIY products, it further ensures that your face would be less prone to any side effects that chemical creams or scrubs may give.

Step 1: Cleanse

Washing away the dust and oil of the day from your face is the first step to the facial. This way, the skin will be ready to absorb the following products better while also removing any makeup, pollution,n or dirt from the face.

You can double cleanse if you are someone who has oily skin or wears makeup regularly. Follow it with a foam cleanser to be completely off the gunk.

Step 2: Steam

Steam your face with the help of boiling water, a facial steamer, or a hot towel to open the pores on the face. A calming process, steam is essential to open the clogged pores as they become the prime cause of breakouts. It also helps in deep cleaning the skin.

Step 3: Exfoliate

Unclogged pores need cleaning now. Using a gentle and natural exfoliant will do just the job. If you are confused about natural exfoliants, you can make a DIY scrub at home for your face as well.

An oatmeal scrub usually suits all skin types. Combine 1 tablespoon of ground oatmeal with 1 teaspoon of honey or yogurt to make a fine paste. Apply it on the face and gently rub in an upward direction to prevent skin from sagging. Always do a patch test before applying the DIY scrub on the face.

Avoid the area around your eyes while scrubbing, as the delicate skin around the eyes can get irritated with exfoliation.

Wipe away the scrub with the help of a facial sponge and water.

Step 4: Mask

The next step is to hydrate and soothe the skin and pull away any impurities that may be left behind. Depending on the needs of your skin, you either need a clay mask or a hydrating mask.

An easy and effective clay mask is mixing multani mitti powder with rose water to apply on the face. This mask soothes and takes away excess oil from the face. Apply it on the face for 10-15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water.

For a natural hydrating mask, mash a ripe banana and mix 1 tablespoon of honey in it. Apply on the face for 10-15 minutes and wash with lukewarm water.

Step 5: Moisturise

Finish off your brightening facial with a hydrating moisturiser of your choice to lock in all the goodness of the facial on the face and prevent it from drying.

With this easy, natural, and at-home facial, you will be radiating like the moon on the festival of Bakrid.
