Indian Actress Sai Tamhankar who is mainly seen in Marathi, Tamil and other languages films is enjoying all the love for her new OTT web series Pet Puraan. While the series has a quirky and different theme with a lot of animal love, In this special conversation with Dainik Jagran Sai shares her experience on working with the pets. And how it's different from working in the South and Hindi film industry. The actress also shed light on the Gender Pay Gap prevailing in the entertainment Industry. 

New Web Series Pet Puraan

Sai Tamhankar was recently seen on the Sony LIV  special series Pet Puraan. The series brings a humorous tale of pets and their parents who  break several myths and multiple stereotypes. The story revolves around a couple who decide to become parents of a doggo. While their decision of becoming pet parents instead of having kids brings big setbacks from family, the series manages to shed light on a different and yet important aspect. 

Let us tell you that before doing the film Sai was  scared of cats but after working with furr biddies and wrapping up the show she also adopted a pet in real life. 

 

Talking about Sai Tamhankar workfront, she is currently judging Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra with Prasad Oak. 

What is Pet Puraan? 

The story of the web series revolves around a new-age working couple who don't wish to have children and instead they become pet parents. While their families have a traditional approach on completing the family, they decide to make the fur buddy their child. The OTT series Pet Puraan stars Sai Tamhankar as Anjali and Lalit Prabhakar as Atul.  The series is created and written by director Dnyanesh Zoting and is streaming in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali languages.
