Deepa Malik expressed her gratitude to PM Modi for virtually becoming the ambassador for Paralympics in India making it a visible sport inclusive of major changes and policies. Recalling the time she started she lamented over the lack of education, and support from the government for para-athletes. Basic amenities like disability friendly washrooms was a far cry, with fundings and sponsorships becoming even a difficult achievement.
