Farhan Akhtar on Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’: “I Would Not Recommend This Film To Anyone”

Entertainment Update: Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial ‘Animal’ is about to complete one year in December 2024. Recently, actor and producer Farhan Akhtar made a statement about the movie’s portrayal of a ‘problematic alpha male’ character. He said that he would not recommend this movie to anyone. 

Farhan Akhthar think Animal is “problematic”

Farhan Akhtar expressed his concern about the “problematic” character of Ranbir Kapoor in the film. He stated that the rise of ‘alpha male’ roles in the cinema is not something he can resonate with hence he would not recommend this movie to anyone. And if it comes to producing a movie like ‘Animal’ he would not do that either, because she does not stand with the themes or the story. He furthermore said that as a director it's the director’s choice to choose the kind of content they want to make so he would not abide by others opinions for his creation.
