G20 Summit Delhi: As the Digital India initiative has witnessed spectacular growth in the digitalisation sector, the country’s primary frameworks, including Aadhaar, UPI, and ONDC, will be on exhibit during the G20 Meeting, along with the presentation of some new indigenous digital apps to international leaders. All G20 delegates will be able to access each and every event information via the G20 app, which was introduced on Wednesday and features multilingual basic navigation to support 5 UN languages as well as 5 other languages- English, Hindi, German, Japanese, and Portuguese.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will demonstrate five digital apps - UPI One World, Frictionless Credit Platform, Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), RuPay on the Go (OTG), and Bharat Bill Payment System. According to an IT Ministry official, the delegates will also be shown a new app called GITA, which will include spiritual features inspired by the Shrimad Bhagwad Gita. This comes at a time when India is leading the G20 in terms of Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for development and financial inclusion.
