G20 Summit Travel Restrictions: As the G20 Summit is taking place in the national capital of Delhi, there will be certain travel restrictions in some areas of the city. If you have a confirmed ticket to or from Delhi between September 7 and 11, 2023, and are worried because of G20 restrictions, there is good news for you. Several airlines, including Air India, Indigo, and Vistara, have announced a special service from September 7 to September 11. Passengers going from or to Delhi would be offered the option of making changes in their trip date or flight, with applicable charges.
Some types of public transport may be unavailable from 8 September to 10 September. For security considerations, certain roads may be closed or traffic may be redirected. All vehicular movement in and around the New Delhi District will be controlled. Except for the Supreme Court Metro Station, which is closest to Pragati Maidan, the venue of the G20 Summit, other metro stations will be operational. No passengers will be permitted to board or depart at the Supreme Court Metro Station on September 9 or 10. Passengers going to or from the airport or railway stations are advised to use the Delhi Police recommended routes, which are displayed on the Delhi Traffic Police virtual helpdesk website.
