Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer, announced the Hero Dirt Biking Challenge (HDBC). This is a first of its kind and unique pan-India talent hunt program launched by an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). Hero Dirt Biking Challenge aims to provide a platform to the new enthusiast riders and enthusiasts who want to pursue their passion in off-road racing and make a name for themselves in this field.
HDBC is a talent hunt program. It serves as a platform for new bikers and enthusiasts to fulfil their passion in off-road motorsports. The program will reach out to 45 cities across the country to find the best off-road riders in India. In this, the winner and two runner-up will be gifted Hero XPulse 200 4V and a sponsorship contract.
Participants participating in HDBC will get a golden opportunity to train with one of the top international teams and the only Indian team to win a stage at the Dakar Rally – Hero Motorsports Team Rally. Hero MotoSports Team Rally riders Ross Branch, Joaquim Rodrigues, Sebastian Bühler and Franco Cami will work with and coach the top participants.
To register for Hero Dirt Biking Challenge and get more information, interested participants can log on to www.hdbc.in. After the screening of online submissions, the first round will be conducted over several weeks in 45 cities and the shortlisted participants in this round will get a chance to participate in the regional round to be held in 18 cities.
The top-100 selected riders will be sent to a five-day regional bootcamp where they will get another golden opportunity - this time they will be coached by none other than India's top rider CS Santosh. The bootcamp will conclude with a race and the top-20 participants will advance to the finals, which will be held at the world class Center of Innovation of Technology (CIT) in Jaipur, the state-of-the-art R&D center of Hero MotoCorp.
