Hyderabad News: On Sunday, a major fire broke out in Gulzar House near the Charminar in Hyderabad, killing 17 people, including eight children and women. According to police, several people are still believed to be trapped, and a rescue operation is still underway. According to officials, the rescue team has already saved 10 to 15 people. The local MLA reached the site to examine the situation and organise relief efforts.
On Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief over the tragic incident. PM Modi announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh to the relatives of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. In addition, Telangana Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that the state government will offer financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the relatives of the deceased after investigating the situation.
