IIFA Awards 2025: The IIFA Awards celebrated its 25th edition in Jaipur on Sunday with a star-studded audience. From legendary actors and filmmakers to young and new talents were honored for their art and achievements in Bollywood at the function with thrilling performances by the likes of Kareena Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan. 

Amidst the glitz and glamour of it all, there were names like Nitanshi Goel and Lakshya Lalwani, who dominated the award lists in major categories as debutants and newcomers to achieve this feat of success.

Newcomers ruled at IIFA 2025 

The awards categories nominated popular names with widespread reach in major categories. From different generations and varied reaches, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Shraddha Kapoor, Yami Gautam, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Bachchan, and Ajay Devgn. 

Yet a handful of new names and faces compelled all the eyes on them with their sheer hard work, growing popularity, and stellar performances. Here’s a look at all the newcomers who won big at the IIFA Awards 2025.

  • 17-year-old Nitanshi Goel bagged the IIFA for Best Performance in a Leading Role (Female), defeating Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor in the category.   
  • Debutant director Kiran Rao took home the trophy for Best Direction for her debut film Laapataa Ladies. 
  • Raghav Juyal’s performance in the action thriller Kill won him the award for Best Performance in a Negative Role.

  • Best performance in a Supporting Role went to debutant Janki Bodiwala for her performance in Shaitaan. 
  • Lakshya Lalwani was the winner in the Best Debut (Male) category for his film Kill and Laapataa Ladies’ actor Pratibha Ranta took home the title of Best Debut (Female).

  • Kiran Rao’s first film ruled the charts with the maximum number of awards (10) to its credit. The film was released on 1 March.  

Among other notable winners at the IIFA were Kunal Kemmu, bagging the Best Directorial Debut for Madgaon Express.
