Much-awaited Imran Khan comeback
According to several media reports, Imran Khan is starring in a comedy film produced by his uncle Aamir Khan, and directed by his former co-actor Vir Das. The film titled ‘Happy Patel’ will mark the directorial debut of comedian and actor Vir Das. It will also mark the second collaboration between Khan and Das after Delhi Belly (2011), blacked by Aamir Khan Productions.

Imran Khan delightfully teased his fans with the possibility of his silver screen comeback soon under the Instagram post of Veteran actor Zeenat Aman. His cryptic back and forth in the comments was when a fan wrote- “Zeenat ji ne bhi comeback karlia, patani mera @imrankhan kab karega.” with the actor replying back with “Chalo Aditi, let’s leave this to the internet… 1M likes, and I’ll make it happen.”
Looks like the “internet” finally made it happen as the shooting for the film has already begun in Goa reportedly. The movie promises to be a “laugh-riot” with Das and Khan in it, Happy Patel will be a quirky comedy evocative of Khan’s filmography so far.
Imran Khan spy thriller canned
Imran Khan was planning to take his fans by surprise with a comeback as an intelligence officer in a spy series on Disney+ HotStar. The Series was helmed by Abbas Tyrewala but was discarded. Khan in his interview with the Film Companion expressed that he was “kind of glad” that the series got discarded because he did not “want to play a character who solves problems with a gun.”
Khan was last seen on screen alongside Kangana Ranaut in Katti Batti, a romantic comedy in 2015. He made his film debut as the OG green flag Jay in ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’ with Genelia D’Souza in 2008.
